Godfrey Phillipps Pinnace Cards

Pinnace produced cards for Godfrey Phillips.  In 1920 the company issued a series of 1,100 football cards. This was followed by 2,462 in 1922 and 940 in 1923.  In amongst these collections were some of the early greats of Ayr United. 

It is likely that the low numbered cards were part of the 1920 publication whilst the higher numbers part of the 1923 set.  These cards can still be found from time to time on Ebay.
