ayrunited_crestThe 1963/64 season was the 91st season of competitive football in Scotland and the 67th season of the Scottish Football League.

It was a time of ex managers returning and Bobby Flavell returned to replace Neil McBain.

A 14th place was achieved and a reasonable cup run took Ayr to the Scottish Cup where they fell devastatingly to Dunfermline by 7-0.
